By small, we mean $25 to $250.
There are at least three ways to buys stocks and mutual funds online without a lot of money. Each way corresponds with using a company tailored for small dollar transactions: Amstock.com, Sharebuilder, or ING.

A common view of trading is that it’s the same as gambling.
While gambling itself can be harmless when done is small doses and for harmless excitement, it becomes a problem when it’s an addiction, and causes grievous harm to a person and/or other people involved.
As a result, gambling has negative social connotations.
The actual definition of gambling is:
“Betting or staking of something of value on the outcome of a game or event.”
Trading in essence is betting or staking something of value on the outcome of a trade, but the difference is that we can take trades that place the probability of winning in our favor.
This choice exposes you to risk between the decision point and expiration; in the event the stock’s market price moves above striking price, intrinsic value could wipe out the profit and lead to exercise. Purchasing to close when the profit is available ensures that profit and enables you to avoid further exposure to risk. If the stock does rise, your breakeven price is three points higher than striking price, since you were paid 3 for selling the call.
If the stock’s market value remains between the range of $45 and $55 between the date you sell the call and expiration, the short call will expire worthless. It would not be exercised within that price range, since striking price is 55. You can wait out expiration or buy the call, closing it out at a profit. However, if the stock’s value does rise above $55 per share and the call were exercised, you would not receive any gain above $55 per share. While exercise would still produce a profit of $1,000 ($500 stock profit plus $500 option premium), you would lose any profits above the striking price level.
Stocks can be classified in terms of their size, small, medium and large cap stocks.
Capitalization can be referred to as the market value of the company.
We derived the market value of a company by multiplying market price of stock by the number of outstanding shares.
I have always liked the notion of a Genie offering me three wishes and me being such a cheeky fellow, I would ask for 1000 more wishes.
